“The green door on Mottram Street”

Karri Lodge stands on Mottram Street, close to the middle of Manjimup, in a long timber building with a tin roof and a green door. A lamp hangs over the door and is lit on every open evening, so on a dark night it is easy to find.

From the highway, drive into the town centre and turn into Mottram Street; the lodge is a short way along, and the lamp over the green door makes it easy to spot after dark. Visitors who come from the Pemberton direction and those from the Walpole direction reach the same street, and the same door, within a few minutes.

There is a gravel car park at the side of the lodge, reached by a lane marked with a small sign, and kerbside spaces along Mottram Street after four. The car park is lit, and the path to the green door is level.

Please telephone the host if you are running late, if you cannot find us, or if you need help getting in. The telephone is answered during opening hours and for a few hours in the afternoon on closed days.

Drivers coming a long way after dark should allow a little extra time, since kangaroos and wombats use the forest roads at dusk and are not in a hurry. The lodge keeps a late supper plate for anyone who is delayed, provided the host has been told in advance that you are on your way.
